Hello Class 1.  We hope you are all keeping safe!

Below are tasks that we would like you to complete over the next two weeks. Remember, don’t worry if you are not able to do them all and if you have any questions just let us know. We hope you are all still keeping safe and well. We look forward to seeing some of you back at school this week.  For those of you returning this week your days are Thursday and Friday.

-This week see if you can find out information about boats.   What types of boats are there?

Hello Class 1.  Hope you have had a lovely half term and are enjoying the sunny weather!  It’s been lovely to hear how you have been enjoying the activities set over the past weeks and to see some photographs of what you’ve been up to so keep up the good work!

Maths activities:

-Follow a recipe.  Measure the ingredients and follow the instructions to make food of your choice.  It could be cakes, biscuits or something savoury.  Take a photo and email to us.  We would love to see your tasty creations!

-Keep practising counting aloud in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s or 10’s using money (coins). If you have space in your house or in your garden set up a little shop and role play buying and selling.

 

Language activities:

-Design and make a sign for your shop.  Write out labels for the things you are going to sell.  How much will they cost?

-Make a boat, measure its length and see if it floats. How many things can you fill it with before it sinks.

-Keep practising counting aloud in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s or 10’s forwards and backwards. If you have a space outside, write numbers in chunky chalks. Try writing numbers up to 10 this week!

Hello Class 1!

We hope you are all safe and enjoying the new topic of ‘Here we go!’  You will see some new activities below for week 2.  We miss your little faces and hope to see you soon back at school but for now please enjoy the range of activities on our class page. For our topic we are going to be focusing on transport and journeys.
